I've been photographing seriously since 2000 and concentrating on portraits since 2015.
Photographing people is not easy! Landscapes and wildlife do not tell you that they don’t really like that photo – people can…and do!
I think that is part of the fun of it: taking someone’s photo and having them like it!
I mostly photograph models – which sounds amazing and very ‘jet-set’ but they are still people, the only difference being that they actually enjoy having their picture taken!
I have photographed receptionists, dinner ladies, teachers, swimming instructors, employment advisors, theatre nurses and even an accountant. Each and every one of them has been an absolute pleasure to work with, genuinely.
I particularly enjoy female portrait work as well as fashion. It is challenging to get the best out of someone but enormously rewarding when I do. I always encourage my models to strive to be the most amazing they ever have been: outfits, poses and looks and they never disappoint me, rewarding me with the most wonderful photographs.
I prefer studio work as I have complete control over the light and I don't have to worry about the weather…and there’s tea! I also work in the fresh air if it doesn't involve walking for miles or getting wet - just too old for that!

I’ve had my work exhibited locally as well as further afield. I’ve also delivered several presentations on my work, my methods and my ‘modus operandi’.
